Gmail Lets You Import Contacts and Mail from Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL
If you’re switching to Gmail from another email provider, Gmail can help you in importing contacts and messages from your old email account.
Gmail now can migrates email and contacts from other email providers, including Yahoo!, Hotmail, AOL, and many more.(See below for complete list supported email providers).
This new feature is available in all newly-created Gmail accounts, and it is slowly being rolled out to all existing accounts. It’ll take longer than the few hours or days that most Gmail features take to get out to everyone.
Once your GMail account is enable with this feature, you’ll see the Accounts and Import tab (formerly just called Accounts) under Settings.
Businesses and schools using Google Apps won’t see these new migration options.
