How to set up free godaddy hosting account

When you purchase a domain from GoDaddy, you will be getting a free ad-supported hosting account. With this you might set up a redirection page to your original blog.

But if you are using this hosting account to host your blog then you cannot remove the ads from your Web site. For ad-free hosting, you must upgrade your account.

Here are step-by-step instruction on how to set up free godaddy hosting account:

  1. Log in to the Account Manager.
  2. In the My Products section, select Hosting Account List.
  3. Click Use Credit next to Free Hosting Credits.
  4. In Set Up Free Hosting pane on the right, select the domain that you want to associate with your free hosting account. Choose either Windows or Linux and then click Continue.
  5. In the Hosting Account list, click Set Up Account next to the New Account (Free with Domain) that you want to set up.
  6. In the Hosting Control Center, click Accept to accept the End User License Agreement.
  7. Set up your hosting account by entering the following information:
    • Enter New User ID: Create a user name that you will use when you log in to this hosting account.
    • Enter New Password: Create a password that you will use when you log in to this hosting account.
    • Confirm New Password: Re-enter the password that you created.
  8. Click Continue.
  9. Verify your Domain Name and User ID, click Submit, and then close the Hosting Control Center.
