How to setup Wordpress with Mysql on Godaddy Hosting
To setup the wordpress with Mysql on Godaddy hosting follow step below:
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- In the My Products section, select Hosting Account List.
- Next to the hosting account you want to modify, click Open.
- In the Databases section of the Hosting Control Center, click the MySQL icon.
- Click Create New Database.
- Enter a user name and password, and then click Continue.
- Verify your MySQL database settings. If everything looks OK, click Create Database.

- It may take a few minutes to create your database. Click your browser’s Refresh button to check if your database is ready.
- Once you have set up a database for your account, you can find your host name information by clicking the Pencil icon next to the name of your database.
- Finally, enter the appropriate info in your wp-config.php file:
define(’DB_NAME’, ‘mywpusername’); // The name of the database
define(’DB_USER’, ‘mywpusername’); // Your MySQL username
define(’DB_PASSWORD’, ‘Qwert@777′); // …and password
define(’DB_HOST’, ‘Z41mysql123.secureserver.net’); // 99% chance you won’t need to //change this value
That’s it. Save the wp-config.php file, upload it and open your site.

Setting up wordpress on godaddy is easier than this tutorial suggests. first you call up the tech support and make sure that your domain is set up and ready to go. Then at the home page click hosting on the left side. log in and then click manage account on your hosted domain that you are going to use. once you are inside the hosting control center click on the big button that says your applications. All of the major applications are provided with extremely easy and quick installs. Click on the word blogs to the left and it will give you a pop down box with wordpress listed. Click on wordpress and follow the instructions. It will take you through a step by step install procedure for wordpress. If you have any problems just call tech support.
The worst website hosting is Godaddy. Their hosting services are the complete opposite of their registrar services. They have very unusual restrictions in plans (like a limit of 1000 e-mails sent per day in a DEDICATED SERVER, lol). These restrictions are hidden in it’s “sales technics”. The support is very slow, take more than 24 hours to answer questions. No guarantee, no refundable, no respect, no shame to provice a deficient service. They win money with it’s hosting services lying to customers. It’s probabbly an outsourced service. Terrible. Go to “Host for web”, “Galaxy” etc. I lost USD 140 with them. Terrible. Flee from its host services!!
