Windows 7: Minimum System Requirements
Microsoft releases final Windows 7 minimum system requirements:
- 1 GHz CPU ( 32 or 64 bit)
- 1 GB RAM
- 16GB of free disk space and
- Support for DirectX 9 graphics with 128MB of memory (for the Aero interface)
For 64-bit editions, it is recommended to have 2 GB of RAM and 20 GB of hard disk space.
Further, for the new Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP Mode, Microsoft recommends having 2 GB of RAM, an additional 15 GB of hard disk space, and a processor supporting Intel-VT or AMD-V.
